The star, who is onboard to play the iconic role of Lois Lane, celebrated the kick-off of the movie’s shooting on Thursday (February 29)—a day that serendipitously marks the birthday of Superman.
Brosnahan took to social media to share a video clip where she is seen with her fellow lead actors David Corenswet (Superman) and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor).

With the caption “A supervillain, a journalist and an alien walk into a bar…” Brosnahan posed a fun set-up to the clip, which was synchronized to the recognizable Superman theme tune.
The footage features Rachel alone in the frame initially, but as the iconic music reaches its peak, both of her colleagues slide into the shot, prompting Rachel to smile and chuckle.
In parallel news, the film’s writer and director, James Gunn, took the opportunity to give a glimpse of the new Superman costume blanketed in snow. Additionally, he announced that the project’s working title, Superman: Legacy, is set to change.
