Project will investigate authoritarianism in 7 Latin American countries – 11/12/2021 – Mônica Bergamo

Mexican producer Dromómanos launches on Sunday (14) the project “Aqui Mando Yo: Fragile Democracies, Authoritarian Policies (Here I command, fragile democracies, authoritarian policies), which seeks to understand the expressions of Latin American authoritarianism in El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Chile.

The project will combine journalism initiatives with academic research. And it will be inspired by a platform that monitors the acts and behavior of authorities that threaten democracy developed by the Brazilian Center for the Analysis of Freedom and Authoritarianism (Laut).

Visual artist Vik Muniz and his wife, businesswoman Malu Barreto, attended the opening of the exhibition “Fotocubismo – Vik Muniz”, at Nara Roesler gallery, in SP, on Wednesday (10). Advertiser Nizan Guanaes and creative director and influencer Chris Pitanguy also visited.
