Akshay Manorama’s WOLIO raises 2.5M to reinvent how we read

Bangalore

While most startups are using AI to generate content faster, WOLIO is doing something far more radical—it’s making books personal.

Founded by Akshay Manorama, WOLIO has raised 2.5M in its angel round to launch a first-of-its-kind AI platform that rewrites books in real time based on the reader’s persona. From tone and structure to language and depth, every book adapts to suit the mindset, mood, and learning goals of each individual.

“Books haven’t changed in hundreds of years—but readers have. WOLIO is making books evolve with the reader,” said Akshay.
Rather than offering summaries or simplified content, WOLIO aims to transform the entire reading experience into a fluid, intelligent interaction—one where no two readers experience the same story in the same way.

The platform is being built under a strong focus on personalisation ethics, proprietary AI, and immersive user journeys.

A closed beta is expected to roll out by the end of 2025.
